May 14th, 1936 - June 14th, 2021

Obituary Russell Dean Simon was born on May 14, 1936, in Lusk, WY. His parents were Floyd Simon and Marie Gay Simon. Russ was raised on a ranch between Lusk and JM. He was baptized on April 10, 1954, as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. He graduated from Lusk High School with a 4-year athletic scholarship to Chadron College. He declined this to volunteer at Bethel in New York City where he helped to produce Bibles and Bible based literature. He was there from 1955 to 1959. He married Mildred Kestner on June 20,1959 and they moved back to Lusk WY. They completed their family with three daughters: Renee, Michelle, and Luree. He was a loving husband to Millie for 62 years and will be missed greatly by her, their children, family, and all those who knew him. He was active as one of Jehovahs Witnesses for 68 years until his death on June 14, 2021. Over the years he had the joy of teaching and explaining Bible truths to old and young alike and giving bible instruction from the platform in the Congregation and at assemblies. He and his family moved to Lusk, Buffalo, and Torrington, WY to help where the need for kingdom publishers was needed. He then resided in Colorado for 40 years and continued to help different ones to make a dedication to Jehovah. Russ loved to garden and paint with watercolors. He looked forward to life on earth, in a world of Gods making where there will be no more pain, or suffering. Russ is survived by his wife Millie Simon, their children, Renee Schwengel (Richard), Michelle Fuhrer (Eric), Luree Melvin (Jared), Grandchildren: Stephen Schwengel (Suzi), Chante Harrison (Derek), Morgan Fuhrer, David Fuhrer, Riley Melvin, Joshua Melvin and Logan Melvin.
