Ruth C. Addy WEST COLUMBIA-Services for Ruth C. Addy, 94, of West Columbia will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Aebischer and Rev. W. Ryan Lyles. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Ave, West Columbia, SC 29169 or to Pawmetto Lifeline, P.O. Box 1777, Columbia, SC 29202. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge. Mrs. Addy, widow of Everett M. Addy, died Friday, December 23, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Felder and Gussie Gray Carroll. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and had retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and Food Service Inc. Surviving are her daughters, Joann Young ( Dr. Frank Young, Jr.) and Jeanne Micklash ( Tom Micklash); six grandchildren, Tavis Micklash (Jennifer), Jenna Lincoln (Matt) Patrick Micklash, Dr. Frank Young, III (Anne), Jonelle Yow (John), and Frances Morris (Stephen); and nine great-grandchildren, Cordelia Micklash, Frank IV, Rebecca, Sarah Young, Caroline Parker (Walter), John Stuart Yow, Mary Frances, Drew and Coleman Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, LM Shehane and Annie Mary Carroll. The family would like to express a special thank you to Harmony Care Hospice.
