The family of Ruth Boyle are saddened to announce her passing on September 11, 2018 at the age of 80 peacefully at her home. She had resided in Nokomis, FL for the past 14 years, previously residing in Lincoln, R.I. Ruth was the daughter of the late Louis Tougas and Doris Tougas McGuinness. She was a passionate cheerleader and graduate of Pawtucket West High School (Shea). Ruth was an active member and past president of the Cumberland-Lincoln Community Chorus. She was also an active member and first woman president of the Sayles Memorial Church, United Church of Christ in Lincoln, R.I. After her husband's retirement from the Lincoln School System, she and Andy traveled the United States extensively. They enjoyed each new adventure and were fond of saying, ""Fear is not frightening as regret"". Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, beloved daughter Beth Ann, husband and friend of 56 years, Andrew and sister, Roberta Farands. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted daughter Ellen Boyle Crouse (Ken); two sons, Gregory and Mathew; nieces, Susan Weiger (Andreas) and Christin Zinc of Wisconsin; cousin, Robert Decelles (Ann) of Coventry, R.I. and other relatives and friends. Her cremains will be interred at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston, R.I. at a date to be determined.
