Ruth Jorgensen Cox
November 5th, 1908 - March 18th, 2004
Ruth Jorgensen Cox was born on November 5, 1908 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to James and Caroline Jorgensen. She left this mortal existence on March 18, 2004 at her home in Mesa, Arizona. Ruth married Max B. Cox in 1931 and they moved their family to Mesa in 1942. He passed away in 1999. Her title was "homemaker" in the truest meaning of the word. Mutti, as she is known by the many who love her, had a gentle and loving way, a contagious sense of humor, and a flair for fun. She lived a life of graciousness, giving, and gratitude, after the manner of happiness. Ruth loved the Lord and willingly served in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her children: Carolyn and Robert Biggs, Anita and Ross Farnsworth, Camille and Duane Richins, Bruce and Linda Cox, Anna Marie and Gail Robert, Dottie and Kent Layton, Pam and Dennis Ryan, Kathy and David Palmer, and David and Melissa Cox. She is also survived by a large and loving posterity. A viewing will be held on Sunday March 21, 2004 from 6-8:00 PM at the Udall Ward, 525 E. 2nd Avenue. The funeral service will be held on Monday March 22, 2004 a 3:00 PM at the Maricopa North Stake Center, 1718 N. Date St. with a visitation one-hour prior. Contributions can be made to the Perpetual Education Fund or the Missionary Fun, c/o Bp. Kent Layton, 737 N. Orange Mesa, AZ 85201 Meldrum Mortuary handled the arrangements
