Ruth Ann Vander Plaats (nee VeneKlasen) age 76, died on March 25, 2006 in Venice, FL. She was born on July 30, 1929 in Zeeland, MI. She moved to Venice in 1996 from White Cloud, MI where she was the Owner of Loves Resort for 10 years. She was a member of the Venice- Nokomis United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Lizbeth Vander Plaats of Cherokee, NC, Michael Vander Plaats of West Lafayette, IN, Laura Finch of Pendleton, IN and Jay Vander Plaats of Zeeland, MI.; brothers, Jack Veneklasen and Phil Veneklasen both of Grand Rapids, MI; sisters, Alice Bos of Holland, MI and Pat DePree of Carmel, CA; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 from 12 noon to 1:00 PM with funeral service to begin at 1:00 PM in White Cloud, MI with interment to follow in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Crandell Funeral Home, White Cloud, MI is handling those arrangements. Friends may visit anytime obituaries online at www.farleyfuneralhome.com to sign a guest register book and extend condolences to the Vander Plaats family.
