Sabrina Timmerman Walker

Sabrina Timmerman (Bee) Walker,90, widow of Earby Albert Walker, Jr., died Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Born in Edgefield, S.C. on August 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William Wryght and Mary Ann Cheatham Timmerman. Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Lander College. She formerly worked with Earby Walker Realty as well as Killingsworth and the Alston Wilkes Society. She was a charter member of Broad River Baptist Church (later named St. Andrews Baptist Church), and a charter member of the St. Andrews Jr. Woman?s Club. Surviving are her children, Al Walker (Margaret) of Chapin, Sabrina Anne Walker (David Evans) of Sumter, William Timmerman Walker (Karen) of Asheville, N.C., and Wesley R. Walker (Barbara) of Chapin; Grandchildren, Amy Walker Smith (Eddie), Janna Martin (Pat), Sabrina Melissa Evans, Jackie Dirscherl (Rob), Katie Herman, Will Walker, and Forrest Walker, and five great grandchildren. Following a private burial service at Elmwood Cemetery, a memorial service will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Baptist Church, 230 Bush River Road, Columbia, S.C. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home in handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Andrews Baptist Church Music Ministry Fund, 230 Bush River Road, Columbia S.C. 29210, the Lander University Foundation, 320 Stanley Avenue, Greenwood, S.C., or the Alston Wilkes Society, 3519 Medical Drive, Columbia, S. C. 29203.
