Samuel Richard Reiter

Samuel Richard Reiter, 77, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on November 25, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on April 2, 1945 to Mary and Rudy Reiter in Cleveland, Ohio. Sam went to high school at Our Lady of Lourdes and graduated in 1963. He went on to earn a certificate in art from Cooper School of Art. Sam worked as an actor in Los Angeles for a number of years, while also working as a fine wine salesman, and later, a security guard, before moving to Colorado to be close to his brother. Sam enjoyed watching old movies and telling stories of his past adventures, and loved his family very much. Sam was a talented artist. He enjoyed painting from a young age and did it throughout his life as much as he could. He was also a sharpshooter in the United States Army, and served two years in Korea during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Mary Reiter. Sam is survived by his brother, Mike of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister, Pat; and his nephew, Jason of Strongsville, Ohio. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Springs Ranch Memory Care and Bristol Hospice. A celebration of life will be held at the Strongsville VFW in Strongsville, Ohio, sometime in the summer of 2023. Details to follow on Mike Reiter's Facebook page.
