Memorial

Gained her angel wings into heaven on November 13, 2021. She was born June 12, 1950 in Springer, New Mexico to Victor Samuel Martinez and Matilde (Tillie) Salazar Martinez. She is survived by her love Rick Skelton, her daughter Jeanine Martinez (Wayne), son Elias Martinez, her precious grandchildren Zeke Martinez, Alexandra Martinez, and Zane Martinez, and her special niece Michelle Martinez (Justin) and her children David and Aidynn, whom she loved as her own. Sandy was also the proud big sister to her siblings Carmen Martinez (Jimmy), Celina Martinez, and Sam (Dianne) Martinez who also survive her, as well as many nieces, nephews, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Louis Martinez, her niece Roxanne Martinez and her nephews David and Thomas Martinez. Sandy was an amazing and loving daughter, wife, mom, grandma, sister, auntie, cousin, babysitter, and friend. She touched a lot of lives, made a huge impact in this world, and will be missed dearly. She was a very nurturing and loving person and welcomed many into her family. Her motto was the more the merrier and she enjoyed having a house full of people. She was also a Mom/ Grandma figure to many. Sandy especially loved spending time with and taking care of her family, teaching others, playing bingo, watching Lexie and Zane play hockey, dancing, and her monthly sister outings. She will also be remembered for her delicious cooking and baking that she did with such love. Specifically, her famous brownies, yummy Mexican food, potato salad, and her homemade sopapillas and tortillas. Although she is gone from this earth she will live on and remain in our hearts forever.
