Sandra Brockman Thornton, 72, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away September 22, 2024 surrounded by her Family. She was born on November 16, 1951 in Columbia, SC to Robert and Clara Brockman. She attended Dreher High School. She loved reading books, plants and gardening, and spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Heather Sawyer (Corky) and Jessica Davis (James); Grandchildren, Tristan Hill (Hannah), Tanner Elyard (Justin), Caleb Sawyer (Caitlin) and Hunter Sawyer (Roxanne); Great Grandchildren (of Tristan and Hannah) JT and Amelia, (of Tanner and Justin) Charlie, Brynliegh and Madelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clara Brockman; her brother, Richard Brockman; and husband, Donnie Thornton.

The Visitation will be Friday, September 27th from 5 pm - 8 pm at Thompson Funeral Home 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.

Service will be Graveside on Saturday, September 28, at 11:00 am, at Faith Baptist Cemetery, 1339 Heyward Wilson Road, Eastover, SC 29044.
