Sara L. Parrish

Sara L. Parrish, of Dundee, passed away on January 17, 2018 at the age of 84. Sara was born on October 10, 1933 in Elba, Alabama to Fletcher and Mattie Lou Beck Ennis. She moved to Florida in 1952 from Elba, Alabama, worked as a packer in the citrus industry and was an active member of Living Water Church in Eagle Lake, Florida. Sara was the matriarch of the family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Sara loved her family, faith, cooking, fishing, camping, and working at the Wee Care at Baptist Temple in Dundee, Florida. She kept up with her family by always calling and visiting them. Sara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Alton Parrish; siblings, Mag Bowman, J.T. Ennis and Buddy Ennis. She is survived by her children, Larry Parrish, Terry (Karen) Parrish and Bridget (Michael) Williams; sister-in-laws, Jeanette and Margie Ennis; grandchildren, Jessica (Clint) Lightsey, Joshua (Kayla) Parrish, Amanda (Joel) Kibler, Kari (Kaleb) Watkins, Rachel (Ben) Bowden and Jonathan Williams; and 13 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. all at Living Water Church in Eagle Lake, Florida. Interment will take place after the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City Florida.
