Sarah "Nellie" Harrison died peacefully in the Winter Haven Hospital on June 27, 2015 in Winter Haven, FL at the age of 89. Nellie is survived by her children: Marie Clements of Winter Haven, FL; Edward G. Harrison of Winter Haven, FL; Teresa Atchley of Dothan, AL. She had 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren. Her siblings: Maxine Day of Winter Haven, FL; JoAnn Berry of Winter Haven, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents: William Carnley, Father and Bessie Lee Carnley, Mother; siblings: Rosie Watson, Olean Clark, Katie Watson and GW Carnley of Haines City, FL. Children: Rita Faye Atchley of Frostproof, FL; Eddie Harrison of Lake Wales, FL; Judy Jarman of Troy AL. Nellie was born on April 30, 1926 in Peacock, AL. She grew up in South Alabama. She married Edward Lee Harrison on January 2, 1943 in Geneva, Alabama. They had 6 children in their family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a special lady who loved her family and the Lord. She brightened the room when she entered with her beautiful smile and warm personality. She was never afraid of work. Nellie was a great cook. None could compare. She loved to go shopping, eat at Cracker Barrel and go fishing! She was always thinking of her family often praying for them. Over the past few years her health was failing but her faith was never stronger saying, "The Lord is good!" A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. 9:00am Receiving family 10:00am Receiving visitors 11:00am Funeral services Grave side services to follow funeral service.
