COLUMBIA: Graveside service for Scarlett D. Britton, 71, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Britton passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late CSM. Dock, Jr. and Lucille Frontini Jirel. She spent many of her early years traveling the world as her father served his country in the U.S. Army. She was a former member of the Central Assembly of God church. Mrs. Britton was best known along with her late husband, William Lawrence Britton, as the owner/operators of Little Pig?s Restaurant. They opened their first location in 1963 in Rosewood Shopping Center and then moved to Alpine Road in 1978. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Lester (Virgil) of Elgin and Michelle Bright of Summerville; son, Michael Anthony Britton (Corrine) of Elgin; sister, Deborah Dean of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amanda Bryant (Tommy), Lindsey Haseli, David Lee Britton and Zachary Michael Britton; great grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Bryant and Micah Haseli; aunt, Edith Polizzi; also a number of nieces and nephews.
