Scott Zumbach
July 22nd, 1961 - November 19th, 2009
Scott A. Zumbach was born July 22, 1961 in Manchester, Iowa. He was a man of God, a Soldier, a Son, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, charitable contributor, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his mother Charlotte and stepfather Johnny; siblings Craig, Gordon and Mary; stepdaughters Dana, Crystal and Laurie; step-grandsons Jacob and Bryson Scott; cats Yellow, Grey and Orange, and many aunts,uncles, nieces and nephews. He moved to Denver, COlorado with his mother and siblings in 1974. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Just shy of graduation, he returned to Iowa. Without a diploma in 1979, Scott entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He received the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Marksmanship Badge (Rifle M-16) as an Armor Crewman. After 4 years in the Army (but forever a soldier) he returned to Iowa. In 1982, Scott re-entered school and received his high school diploma from Big Bend Community College. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Kentucky. In the early 90’s, he was married and had three stepchildren. He worked at Procter and Gamble. Scott returned to Colorado in 2001 and divorced in 2002. He has worked at murray Motors since his return to Colorado as a master time keeper. On November 19, 2009, Scott was called home to join his grandparents Leonard, Anna, Karl and Pearl, uncles John, Glenn, and Dave, cousins Junior, Kevin, Elyse, and Todd, and nephew Cody James. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project. Services Monday November 30, 2009: Viewing 9:30 AM Funeral Mass 10:30 AM All Saints Catholic Church 2559 S Federal Blvd Committal Service & Interment 12:00 PM Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A.
