She was 33.Shannon was born on July 3, 1982, in Pekin, Illinois and grew up in the nearby town of Manito where she was a member of the Midwest Central High School Class of 2000. On her Facebook page she often wrote about the simple joys of family life; "Had a pretty good day!" she posted in April. "Hung out with my Mommy in Manitou, crashed on my bike ... LOL, grilled up steaks for the twin's birthday. Now hanging with my baby boys watching a movie! They are all I need to put a smile on my face! Love them so much!" She was planning a mother/daughter trip to Ireland and Scotland next May.She married Jeremy Pierce on October 20, 2007 in Colorado Springs. She is survived by her husband; her sons, Jayden Wood, Gabriel Wood, Garrett Wood, Wade Pierce and Christopher (Wyatt) Pierce; her mother, Rae Wade of Manitou Springs, Colorado; her father, Edward Wood Sr. and his wife, Donna Wood, of Groveland, Illinois; her maternal grandparents, Stan and Shirley Wade of Pekin, Illinois; her paternal grandmother, Barbara Wood of Metamora, Illinois; her brother, Edward Wood Jr. of Illinois; her sisters, Morgan Murphy of Pekin, Illinois and Hope Wood of Tremont, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward L.
