Shanon Nicole Coleman WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Shanon Nicole Coleman, 27, of West Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Interment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Shanon passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Born in Ft. Ord, CA, she was the daughter of Dina Black Coleman and Kenneth Ray Coleman. Shanon had a beautiful voice, loved music, and playing the piano. She would have graduated in May with her Bachelor's degree and planned to continue her education in music composition. She had a loving and special relationship with her nephew, Khamarie. She was an avid reader who enjoyed book shopping with her father; among her favorites was the Twilight Saga. She had a beautiful heart and lived life to the fullest. She and her mother had a special, close, and loving relationship. She will be missed by all who knew her. Shanon's star will forever shine bright in the sky. Surviving Shanon in addition to her parents; her sister, Brittany M. Coleman; nephew, Khamarie James; aunt, Kellie McDaniel; cousins, Amanda Kelly, Thomas Kelly, Kaitlin McDaniel, and Logan Blackman, and the Coleman family from North Carolina which includes many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nannie G. Black and Gene Junior Black, and paternal grandmother, Annie D. Coleman.
