Sherman Gerald Anderson, 62, of Carlton died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 in his home. He was born April 17, 1947 in Duluth to Arthur and Edna (Randa) Anderson. He attended Albrook and Cloquet schools. Sherman worked for Diamond Match, Stock Tire Co., Hongisto Implement, Kuitu Ready Mix and the City of Cloquet before he became self-employed starting Anderson Trucking. He retired in 2003. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 346. Sherman was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pauline Dammer and Carol Himango; and brother-in-law, Ted Himango. He is survived by his children, Michael (Melodie) Anderson of Saginaw, Tammy (Wade) Lamirande of Cloquet, and Carrie (Wayne) Schmitz of Grand Rapids; and their mother, Theresa Anderson of Cloquet; grandkids, Sherman and Grant Anderson, Jessica and Jeremy Schmitz, Dakota Jones, Katelyn, Kellin and Alec Lamirande; brothers, Alan "Corky" Anderson of Moose Lake, Chuck (Janine) Pearson of Moscow, Kansas; sister, Bobby Jo (Darrell) Webb of Colorado Springs; brother-in-law, Chuck Dammer of Texas, formerly of Saginaw.
