Shigeko ?Bonnie? Leclerc, 84, Bonnie to her friends, died November 6, 2011. She was born November 10, 1926 in Osaka, Japan to Mr. and Mrs.Shigematsu Nakayama. She attended and graduated Primary and Secondary School in Osaka, Japan. She married Ernest J. Leclerc on May 22,1949. She retired from Oxford Industries in 1988 after 23 years of service. Surviving are her Husband, Ernest J. Leclerc; Sons; Richard A. (Pamela) Leclerc of Atlanta, Georgia, Robert M. (Reni E.) Leclerc, West Virginia; Daughters; Ramona Leclerc York, Columbia, SC, Nanette Patricia Leclerc,Columbia, SC; Grand Children, Nicholas J. Leclerc, Lori Leclerc, Scott J. Leclerc, April Leclerc Depaola, Austin L.Leclerc, Dana Smith, Mariah M. York, Michelle L. York, Athena L. Siokos, George Z.Siokos and Elizabeth Jackson; Brother; Kazuo Nakayama, Japan; Great Grandchildren: Dillon Leclerc, Atticus Leclerc, Rylen Leclerc Helms. She was predeceased by: Son: Mitchell Peter Leclerc; Sisters: Kinuko (Patricia) Hughes, Miyako Nakayama, Chizuo Nakayama. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
