Shirley Frier
August 15th, 1936 - June 9th, 2017
Gaston—Shirley Juanita Frier passed away on June 9, 2017. She was born on August 15, 1936 in Bull Swamp, South Carolina, in the county of Lexington. Her husband England L. Frier preceded her in death, January 8, 2002. Survivors include Sherry Carson (Bruce), Charlotte Hatchell (Eddie), Tammy Patino, Laura Rhodes, Samantha Johnson (Lewis) and Jeff Frier. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren along with a host of other family members, who will dearly miss her. The family would like to thank her special care giver, Amanda Hanners. Shirley was a member of River Bluff Baptist Church. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC, with burial to follow in Gibson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
