Shirley Doreen Skinner, age 71, of Venice, Florida, passed away on September 24, 2014. She was born on March 18, 1943 in Toronto, Canada. Shirley was a member of the First Church of God South Venice. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Preston ""Bud"" of Venice; five children, Jodi Wyatt-Blake of Punta Gorda, Florida, Bryan Mangione of Ft Wayne, Indiana, Angela Reeves of North Ft. Myers, Florida, Stephen Skinner of Malden, Missouri and Judith Reeves of Braggadocio, Missouri. She also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Wyatt. A visitation will be held at the First Church of God South Venice on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM with the funeral service to follow. A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sonshine Learning Center, c/o the Playground Fund, 350 Orange Road, Venice, Florida 34293. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
