Mission Mortuary - Monterey
Silei Cilandra Sausi
October 19th, 2005 - October 27th, 2013
In the crisp early morning of Sunday Oct. 27th a trumpet was sounded in the Kingdom of Heaven to summon all the Princess's to the Royal Court, still the fairest of them all was missing. It was then our sweet dimpled face, "Lei" peacefully slipped away to claim her Royalty from on High. Silei "LEI" Sausi the only Princess to Solosolo Sausi (Pago, Pago American Samoa) & Carrie Holmes (Marina, CA) was born on October 19th, 2005 joining her big brothers Solosolo Jr. & Aneti Sausi. Lei enriched our lives as well as the lives of others with her spunky, fun loving, silly, bubbly personality. She was the life of all gatherings. She loved to see everyone happy, and if you were sad she would quickly turn your frown into a smile. Lei loved to dance and sing. Silei's magical infectious smile drew many to her, and the kindness that she showed and shared with everyone has left a lasting impression on everyone's heart she touched. Silei loved spending time with her numerous cousins, aunties & uncles, especially her family. She is and will always be daddy's princess, by all accounts, they shared a very special bond. She loved going on bike rides with her dad, hanging out with her brothers and cuddling with her mom. She loved to take pictures of herself, but her favorite thing was sending video greetings of herself singing. Silei attended Crumpton Elementary School where she was in the 2nd grade. Silei had many friends in school and in the community. She was a member of the MYSA (soccer) & MPBS (softball), the afterschool program @ the Marina Youth Civic Center, ASA afterschool program at Crumpton Elementary. She attended Sunday services at the "Calvary Baptist Church" (Marina, CA) where she also participated in the weekly Awana's meetings. Indeed our hearts are empty, but "Lei" has filled it with loving memories she has left behind for us to treasure, that will last forever and keep us SMILING while we are apart. In her 8 tender years of life she has reminded us life is about creating memories and giving HUGS and spreading joy to others just as she did so vicariously. Silei is survived by her mom & dad (Solosolo & Carrie), brothers (Solosolo Jr. & Aneti), numerous aunties & uncles and cousins, paternal grandparents (Simi Sausi, Pago Pago American Samoa, Silei Rees Vaipuna, Samoa, maternal grandparents (James & Cilandra Holmes, Marina, CA) Our family welcomes you to join us as we pay tribute and share memories of the life of our Princess Silei "Lei" on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 5-8 pm at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey, CA. Funeral service is on Friday, November 8, 2013, 10 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 160 Seaside Ave., Marina, CA. Burial will follow at San Carlos Cemetery, 792 Fremont Blvd., Monterey. Our family would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that have come to comfort us during this time to share our sadness, your prayers, your thoughts, warm dishes, flowers, etc. A memorial account has been set up for Silei at Well Fargo, Acct# 7336323519.

Mission Mortuary - Monterey
Being centrally located on the Monterey Peninsula and adjacent to the San Carlos and Monterey City Cemeteries, Mission Mortuary has been the premier funeral home choice for Monterey and the entire Monterey Bay Peninsula for many years. Mission Mortuary opened its doors in 1946 at a location on Munras Avenue in Monterey and moved to our current location on Camino El Estero in 1952.
