December 27th, 1929 - July 24th, 2023
Socorro “Cora” Valdez earned her angel wings on July 24,2023 and began her life’s journey on December 27,1929 to parents Juan Martinez and Josefina Mendez Martinez. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sam Valdez, sons Richard and Anthony Valdez, grandsons Andrew Edward Valdez and Julian Dennis Gonzalez and her siblings Alphonse, Joe, Mauro, Chuy, Ruth, and Many. She is surrounded by her children Jose (Stephanie), Juan, Sam, Dolores, and Skie Valdez; brothers Manuel, John, and Mike, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren along with many loving nieces and nephews. Socorro loves to crochet, watch baseball and football especially the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys listening to her Mexican music and watching western movies. She loved to take rides in the car just to look around. At home she was known as mom, grams, grama, and nana to the youngest grandkids. Her reverend smile, her large hugs and holding our hands is what we will miss along with her loving kisses. Mom you will be forever in our hearts. I will always love you forever.
