Sonya Link Hunter
January 9th, 1938 - April 26th, 2023
Sonya Link Hunter went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 26, 2023. She was 85 years old. Sonya was born in Lenoir, North Carolina to parents Mary and Horace Link. She is survived by sons, Jeff (Janet) Hunter and Tim (Tammie) Hunter; brother, Robert (Jimmie) Link; sisters, Judy Drum, Tommie Ann (Keith) Hall and Mary Jo Herman; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Charles) Hunter- Prescott, Corey Hunter (Alyssa), Sara Hunter, and Link Hunter (Lydia.); and her great grandchildren, Aurora Prescott, Genevieve Prescott, Nicholas Prescott. Koda Hunter, Maddox Hunter, and Max Hunter. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Hunter; sister, Marjean McMillian, and brothers, Gary Link and Vance Link. Sonya loved bowling, bridge, square dancing, and golf. She was an outstanding homemaker. She enjoyed going to the beach and going on cruises, especially to the Caribbean. She loved to spend time with her family, and above all, she loved the Lord and being involved with her church, Windsor United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1, at 11am at Blythewood Presbyterian Church 441 Rimer Pond Road Blythewood, SC 29016, with a visitation one hour prior.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
