Sophia Marie Hopkins passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Sophie born November 30, 1935 in Conejos County Colorado to Jose Alberto and Josephine DeHerrera. Sophia was untied in marriage to Loren Garduno and raised 5 children. She was also married to Eddie Hopkins. Survivors include three daughters, Lorena Herrera (Anaes), Theresa Garduno, and Ronette Garduno and one son Brian Garduno (Barb); two sisters Darlene Quintana, Dolores Trujillo (Bernie) and two brothers, Manuel DeHerrera (Trish) and Patrick DeHerrera as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sophie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Edward and her son Kenneth. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 4th at Romero Funeral Home - a viewing at 9am followed by a Rosary at 10am. A celebration of her life will take place after the Service at the home of her grand-daughter Felicia Lopez at 2100 W Elk Place.
