Stanley Allen DeVivo

Stanley Allen DeVivo went home to be with his lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Stan was born at home in Hersey, MI to Mike and Dorothy (Thompson) DeVivo on August 10, 1949. Stan enjoyed spending time on his grandparent’s farm and helping his Grandpa Buel farming and caring for the dairy cows. He attended school in Reed City, MI and joined the Navy in 1969. Stan and Jerrie (Jerline) were married on June 16, 1973. Stan retired from the Navy and moved to Florida in the early 1990’s to enjoy the warmer climate. Stan is survived by his special friend Barb Shepherd, brother, Gary (Vivian) and nephew, Alex DeVivo, of Big Rapids, MI, his Aunt Bessie (DeVivo) Heemstra and cousins, David and Jerry (Liz) Heemstra and Karen (Dale) Kreuzer all of Grand Rapids, MI, and friend, Greg Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerrie, grandparents, Buel and Ila Thompson, and Rocco and Lucy DeVivo. Stan and Jerrie will be buried in Hersey, MI with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
