Stephen Joseph McMahon
June 30th, 1931 - October 30th, 2016
Stephen Joseph McMahon, resident of North Port, Florida was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 30, 1931. Prior to moving to North Port, he lived in Toms River, New Jersey. Steve was a retired Battalion Chief with the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). Steve was also a United States Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan Meloro McMahon and their four children Kathleen Schatz (John), Ann Prizzi (Joseph), James McMahon and Jeanne McMahon. Steve had six grandchildren, John Anthony Schatz, Daniel Schatz, Matthew McMahon, Jessica McMahon, Alexander Mederos; and Steve was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jenna Rose McMahon in 2012. Steve was a master storyteller, a skilled craftsman, an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing and crabbing. Most of all, Steve enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. A service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Farley Funeral Home in North Port.
