Stephen Eugene Mitchell, age 70, of Nokomis, FL, passed away on February 25, 2023. He was born in Providence, RI on March 21, 1952 to Stephen and Helen Mitchell. Steve came to Florida from New London, CT. Steve and his wife, Dawn had a pet sitting business in Englewood before retiring. He touched many lives. There wasn’t anyone he would not talk to. He battled COPD for 15+ years. He will be missed deeply. He was Dawn’s husband, partner and love forever. Steve will be fondly remembered as a loving husband. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughter Bevin Mitchell of Wisconsin; son Kiel Mitchell of Rhode Island; and grandchildren Andrew and Thomas. Steve was preceded in death by daughter Caitlin Holmes of Florida. A gofundme account will be created to assist the family with medical bills. No services are scheduled at this time.
