Stephen J. Shurina, 69 Yrs. Born NYC March 22, 1940. Son of Adele Biss and Stephen Shurina Married to Patricia Mahoney January 6, 1962. Pitched for the Cincinnati Reds in 1957 and proud Inductee Long Island Softball Hall of Fame, class of 1981. Joined FDNY in 1962. Beloved Father of Anne-Marie, Tia (Larry), Stephen (Mary-Kim), John (Jennifer), and Susie. Adored Grandfather of Eric Stephen Whitley, Mark Michael Whitley, Alessandra Adele Shurina, Sam Patrick Vail, Gabriella Patricia Shurina, Mac Stephen Vail, Ryan John Shurina, Marianna Grace Shurina, and Emily Rose Shurina. The Shurina family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to the STEPHEN J. SHURINA SCHOLARSHIP FUND can be presented at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home at Memorial Service or mailed to 607 Canne Place, Celebration, FL 34747. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
