GASTON—Funeral services for Steven Andrew Gilmore, 47, of Gaston will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1330 Whippoorwill Drive, West Columbia, SC. Bishop Kyle McHugh will officiate. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 3-4 p.m. prior to service in the Relief Society Room of the Church. Memorials may be made to The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Missionary Fund, PO 310, Gaston, SC 29053. Mr. Gilmore, beloved husband of Melissa Reynolds Gilmore, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was the son of John L. Gilmore and Shirley Shealy Gilmore. He was a lifelong area resident and a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, Congaree Ward. He dearly loved his family as well as his church family. He worked as a mechanic for East Coast Tractors and Trailer Repair. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He loved spending time with his girls playing outside and jumping on the trampoline. Surviving are his parents, John L. Gilmore and Shirley Shealy Gilmore; wife, Melissa Reynolds Gilmore; daughters, Amanda Jeanine Gilmore and Anna Elizabeth Gilmore; he is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Eunice & Daniel Shealy and paternal grandparents, Amelia & George F. Gilmore; and his beloved four-footed baby, Jackson.
