Memorial

Tammy was born on July 31, 1971 in Denver, Colorado and entered into heaven on Saturday January 11, 2020. Tammy had such a faith and love for Jesus that it inspired her to share that love with her family and friends. Next to her husband David, Tammy adored and treasured the relationship she had with her parents, Steve and Kathy. Tammy also had a love and joy in bringing everyone together for the holidays, especially cooking for everyone. Tammy found joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Tammy's children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. There is nothing she wouldn't do to show how much she loved and cared for each one of them. She notably loved her godson Matthew or "lil monster", as she would call him. Tammy was a big Denver sports fanatic. She would always ask "is there a game on"? Besides watching her favorite Denver sports teams, she had a talent to make things out of nothing. She was very creative! Tammy also loved going to concerts. Rock, R&B, and Old School concerts were among her favorites. Tammy also loved Betty Boop. She loved all these things so much that you would find many pictures, t-shirts, jerseys, and knickknacks in her house or on her keychain. Tammy had such a big heart she would always find a way to make people laugh and feel loved. Playing jokes and sending encouraging prayer messages were also her ways to show she cared. Tammy is survived by her parents Steve and Kathy Hernandez, her husband David Martinez, her six children Amanda (Jesus), Vanessa (Aaron), Ezekiel (Jackie), Gabriel, Amor, and Melissa (Sy), her brothers Mike Hernandez (Sylvia) and Mark Hernandez (Nikia), 12 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. The Hernandez and Martinez family would like to thank all who have prayed and cared for Tammy during her time of illness. Also, thank you for your continued prayers and support during our difficult time of mourning. Donations may be made to Romero Family Funeral Home 4750 Tejon St., Denver, CO 80211.
