Tanessa Monique Kirven

On April 24, 1987, a precious baby girl was born to LeRoy and Ramona Kirven. Tanessa Monique Kirven, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was called home on October 6, 2023, after a battle with breast cancer. Tanessa was a Colorado Springs native; she attended Jefferson Elementary, East Middle School, and graduated from Wasson High School in 2005. Tanessa was a fighter, having fought a courageous battle for the last 5 years against breast cancer. No matter how she felt, she was always full of positivity and had a smile on her face. Known to many as “Nessa,” she held many titles: daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Tanessa enjoyed singing, and enjoyed a night of karaoke with her family and friends. She had a beautiful voice and loved to share it. Tanessa also enjoyed going to dinner and spending time with Chris. Tanessa’s favorite day was Halloween, she always had a creative costume to share and was always dressed up, even if she was the only one in the room with a costume on. Tanessa was a gentle soul, she had love for everyone and would be there for anyone. She truly had a gift within her, she could connect to anyone and even with dealing with struggles of her own, she could always be counted on. Tanessa loved her family deeply, having always been by her mother’s side and being there for her dad at the drop of a hat. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Tanessa had a lifelong friend, no matter how much time passed, she would pick right back up with them. The world was a better place because she was a part of it. Tanessa is survived by her father, LeRoy Kirven; brothers, Raymond (Bianca) Rogan, and Riccardo Kirven; and her life partner, Chris Hopper. Tanessa will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We all love you dearly, Tanessa.
