Teodoro William Gurule

Theodore (Ted) William Gurule, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Thursday Jan. 7, 2021 at the age of 80. Mr. Gurule was born on March 18, 1940 in Alamosa, Colorado to the late Joe N. Gurule and Eleanor M. Reyes. He worked as a custodian for the Denver City school system until his retirement. Mr. Gurule was an avid musician; in his free time you could catch him singing with his band around the Denver and Alamosa area. Ted loved watching the Broncos and CU Buffalo play football. Mr. Gurule was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. He is survived by his children: Joe (Anissia) Gurule of Westminster, CO., Monica (Jeff) Johnson of Joppa, AL., Cassandra (Chuck) Haseltine of Arab, AL., Ricky (Sara) Chavez of Lakewood, CO., Melissa (Dennis) Maynor of Arab, AL. 14 Grandchildren: Vanessa (Paul) Cortez, Joseph (Courtney) Gurule, Alex Gurule, Dominique Gurule, Andrez Trujillo, Robert (Laura) Parker, Jarrod Parker, Bradley Parker, Jayden Johnson, Colton Johnson, Azalia Chavez, Ayden Chavez, Zane Chavez, and Lauren Turner; 11 Great-Grandchildren: Faibian Cortez, Xzavier Cortez, Adrian Cortez, Dalyla Cortez, Julian Cortez, Damien Cortez, Desirea Gurule, Jaxon Gurule, Briella Parker, Cash Warrick and Malia Trujillo. Visitation for Ted Gurule will be on January 20, 2021 at 9:00AM, followed by a Rosary at 10:00AM at Romero Family Funeral Home, 4750 Tejon, Denver, Colorado, with a private burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full military honors.
