Terri Evers - Murray

May 29th, 1975 - January 13th, 2014

Terri Evers - Murray was born in Denver Colorado on May 29, 1975 to Thomas Neal Evers and Bonnie Kay Fisher Evers. Terri died peacefully surrounded by her family, she was 38. Terri spent most of her child hood growing up in Arvada. She graduated in 1993 from Longmont High School. Terri quickly headed to Western State College where she excelled in academics, lacrosse and soccer. While in Gunnison Terri truly enjoyed the opportunity to help her sister raise her nephew. Living in Gunnison, high in the Rocky Mountains Terri worked with the park service. It was after graduating from Western state that Terri moved to Seattle and found her passion for working with and teaching children. Terri returned to Colorado and started touching lives here at the Bright Horizons School and Flagstaff Academy. She influenced so many kids it was hard for Terri to simply go to a restaurant with her family without children or parents knowing who she was. Terri was often refered to as "The MRS. TERRI". Terri is truly a legend among the children she taught. The stories of her impact are to numerous to write. Terri met Dan Murray and his daughter playing softball in the spring of 2001. It was in October of 2006 Terri became a wife and stepmother. Her husband Dan, step daughter McKenzie and so many other family members were her focus. If she was not interacting with kids, you would find her with family. Terri spoiled her family whenever possible with handmade gifts from the heart. Terri developed a love for cooking later in life. She brought out the very best in people with her bubbly smile, and personality. She was loved and returned that love to others every second of her life. Terri will be missed by many, family, friends, and children she taught. Terri was an angel among us who brought a piece of heaven to our days at Flagstaff Academy. I was truly touched by her loving presence and her great hugs. What a loss for us still on earth and what a gain for heaven! She will truly be missed.

It was I that started the softball team in 2001 for Seven Oaks Academy. Terri was a great person, co-worker and softball player. My family and I have known Dan and McKenzie for over 16 years. I'm so glad that they all found each other and lived happily ever after. Terri was also very sweet to my boys. Just as recently as this past summer she and Dan took my son to lunch as he was working for Dan. She had a very big heart and will be missed dearly. Dan, McKenzie and family, I'm very sorry for your loss. I will be sending healing prayers your way. Much Love, Kimberley Allen

Terri's bright smile and bubbly personality will always be the image I hold of her in my mind. Her laugh was contagious to all around her. I am blessed to have known Terri if only for a few years - my prayer is for God's comfort and peace to all her family and friends that mourn her passing. Thank you, Terri, for being a part of my life, if only for a season.
