Thelma "Chris" Mae Christensen, a retired recreational specialist, born May 18, 1930 to Jens and Ellen Christensen in Elkhorn, Wisconsin passed away on October 8, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Chris is survived by her sister, Kay Baker and brother-in-law, Bill Baker. She is also survived by two nephews, Dewayne and Rodney Baker and wife Tammy Baker; and two great-nieces, Chelsea Miller and Shelby Baker.A private family memorial service will be held at a future date followed by her inurnment at the columbarium at First Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2315 Bott Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904 or First Lutheran Church, 1515 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.
