Thomas J. Casale, 93, a longtime resident of North Port FL. and former resident of North Andover, MA died peacefully on Saturday November 18, 2017 at his residence in North Port. Born in North Andover, MA, he was the son of the late John & Eva (Robertson) Casale, and the beloved husband of the late E. Arlene (Donnelly) Casale. Tom grew up in North Andover and like many of ""The Greatest Generation"" joined the Army as soon as he turned 18, and headed off to WWII. Serving primarily in the European Theatre, he was in the 150th combat engineers division of the 8th army and returned home to North Andover after being severely injured while in combat. After a long rehabilitation period he began his career with the North Andover Fire Department achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Tom was an avid golfer and a member at the Andover Country Club in Andover, MA and Sabal Trace Country Club in North Port, FL. In addition to golfing he enjoyed spending time with his wife of 65 years, family, and with friends at the AMVETS post in North Port. He is survived by his children, Thomas Casale & his wife Linda of North Andover, MA, Valerie Orlando & her husband Mark O'Neal of North Port, FL, Jo-Anne Corvese & her husband Mark of Plymouth, MA, son Michael Casale, eight grandchildren, and six Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Ronald and William and many nieces and nephews. Besides his beloved Arlene, Tom was predeceased by his son John and his siblings, John, George, and Eva (Garon) Casale. Family and friends will gather in North Port FL for a private ceremony to honor and remember Tom's life.
