Thomas S. May U.S Army (Ret.) of Venice Fl. passed away on Feb.4th 2014 at 87. Tom was born in Bard Pa. July 18th 1926 to John and Lena May, the second of five brothers and one sister. During World War 2 he served in the Navy as a “Sea Bee” in the Pacific Theater. After his Naval service he enlisted in the United States Army,serving with distinction as a Missile Man until his retirement in 1963. He married the love of his life, Jean Greer May in 1950 and shared 60 love and travel filled years. They had one son Michael John born in 1951. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, and brother Howard of Bedford, Pa. He is survived by his grandson John Thomas,and great grandson Jackson Thomas of Venice Fl., brothers Harry Wayne May of Knoxville Tn., Carl May of Hyndman, Pa., Donald May of Buffalo Mills, Pa., sister Wanda Gage of Maine and Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews throughout Pennsylvania, Virginia, California, and Maine. he was loved and respected by all.
