Tim "TJ" Akins

Timothy "TJ" Akins, 31, of Davenport, FL passed away on November 17, 2023. He was born on March 14, 1992, in Longwood, FL, to Timothy Douglas and Becky Jo Marts Akins. Tim dedicated 15 years of his life as a Grocery Manager for Publix, where his hard work and commitment made a lasting impact. A man of faith, Tim was a devoted follower of the Christian faith. Tim embraced life's adventures with a passion for the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and the open road on his motorcycle brought him immense joy. His enthusiasm extended to the indoor arena, where he enjoyed lifting weights and engaging in a good game of pool. He also had a passion for sports, especially football, was evident in his spirited support for the TN Volunteers. Tim's was a devoted father and his heart overflowed with love for his cherished daughter, Milena. Being a father brought him immeasurable joy, and his love extended to all children. Known for his sense of humor, Tim was a jokester who could light up any room with his laughter. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Joseph Marts and Barbara Richards; and his paternal grandfather, Doug Akins. Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Becky and Timothy Akins of Kissimmee, FL; daughter, Milena Akins (7) of Kissimmee, FL; forever his sweetheart, Stacey June Essigmann of Kissimmee, FL; brother; David Akins and wife, Kaycee of Kissimmee, FL; paternal grandmother, Patty Brown and paternal step grandfather, Jim Brown of Davenport, FL; paternal step grandmother, Mary Lou “Mamaw” Akins of Whitesburg, TN; uncle, Joseph Marts of Lake Pan, FL; and aunt, Shelley Johnson of Warsaw, IN. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL.
