Timothy D. Fenton

Timothy D. Fenton, age 80, of Venice, Florida, passed away on June 20, 2017 in Sarasota, Florida. He was born on March 2, 1937 in Bloomington, Illinois. Tim was in the insurance industry for 45 years retiring as a Director of Underwriting. He moved to Venice 2004 from Buford, Georgia and was an active member of Epiphany Cathedral where he participated in the church choir and was also a Cantor. He was also an active member of the National Barbershop Harmony Society, active in the Lemon Bay Barbershop Chorus in Englewood. Tim was a past member of Key Chorale in Sarasota and he also enjoyed Venice Silver Foxes for one year. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Tim is survived by his children; Deanna (Scott) Freund of Richmond, Illinois, Karen (Joe) Lam of Lutherville, Maryland, Eileen (John) Kruse of Hampshire, Illinois, Nicole (Frank) Halvey of Orlando, Florida and Terry (Mirna) Fenton of Sidney, Ohio. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene and five sisters. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 3:00PM-6:00PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Epiphany Cathedral. Interment will be held at River Valley Memorial Gardens in Dundee, Illinois at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Epiphany Cathedral, in care of the Choir Fund, 310 Sarasota Street, Venice, Florida 34285.
