On Friday, April 12, 2024, Tony Louis Alexander Sr., better known as “Big Tony” passed away at the age of 64. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. Tony was born October 17, 1959, in Fort Ord, California, to loving parents, Robert and Betty Alexander. Tony attended multiple schools in the Monterey Peninsula School District and went on to work at the Presidio of Monterey as a supervisor for 32 years. Tony loved to be around his family and friends. His grandchildren, the 3 Z’s, affectionately called him “Boo Boo”. Tony also loved cooking for large gatherings and charitable organizations. Tony enjoyed watching professional football, his favorite team was the Kansas City Chiefs. Once of his favorite things to do was attend his son and grandson’s sporting events. Tony loved caring for his loving mother, Betty Alexander and the family dog, King. Tony was best known for his quick-wit personality, loving spirit, and colorful sayings. He is survived by his wife Galaxia Alexander; sons Quintrell Alexander, Isaac Alexander, Louis Alexander, Alex Carrillo, and Jose Gonzalez; nephew/son Darrell Sostand; mother, Betty Alexander; mother-in-law, Isabel Enriquez; brothers, Steven (Lynette) Alexander, Raymond (Nancy) Alexander; sister, Monica Coleman and Teacolia Alexander; grandchildren, Zechariah Alexander, Elijah Alexander, Zuriel Alexander, Zavan Alexander, and Louis Alexander Jr. And a host of nephews, nieces, and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Rober Alexander; brothers Robert Lee Alexander and Jerome Alexander; son Tony Alexander Jr., and nephew Jamie Alexander.
