Tyler Grant Casper joined his parents Grant and Mary in heaven on November 6th, 2022. Born July 23rd, 1985 in Brainerd, MN, Tyler was the youngest of the Casper kids. His older siblings say he was always happiest when being carried with a snack in his hand. Tyler and Emily Diehl wed on 11-11-11 and were looking forward to a fun celebration for their 11 th wedding anniversary this year. An introverted, quiet, and humble soul, he shone bright like a diamond in the eyes of his family. Tyler loved people without limits, unconditionally and steadily. His sense of humor (often inappropriate!) will live on in his daughter Lucy. Elsa was always happiest in her daddy’s arms. Tyler always had room in his lap for his girls. We know Tyler’s enduring; loyal love will stay with his family through this and the rest of our lives. Tyler sang to his own tune (literally, could not carry a tune) but loved to sing and we loved to hear it. He wrote poetry and had a mile-long list of crafts and woodworking projects he wanted to make. He loved to cook without recipes and most of the time meals turned out “unique” but good. His chili was great! Tyler brought his prayers to God and prayed with his family. We take comfort in the knowledge that God knows Tyler and Tyler knows God. In the words of Tyler’s favorite singer, Elvis Presley, “Until we meet again, may God Bless you as he has blessed me.” Tyler is survived by the three loves of his life, his wife Emily and daughters Lucy and Elsa; his siblings, Jennifer, Troy, Sara, Jill, and Shari; brother-in-law Mark (Tom); many nieces and nephews; and his loving and supportive mother-in-law Ramona who considered Tyler a son. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Mary; infant sister Molly; grandparents and aunts and uncles who we are sure he is making laugh in heaven. Emily would love for anyone who has stories of Tyler to write them down so she can share the memories with their daughters for years to come. Services to be held Tuesday, November 15th at St. Louis Catholic Church, 105 East 4 th Ave, Floodwood, MN. Visitation 10am-11am, Service 11am with burial and reception immediately following. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. A GoFundMe account has been set-up to help support Emily, Lucy and Elsa. Gofundme.com/tyler-casper-family-fund.
