DAVENPORT - Valerie Joy Henning, 76, of Davenport died December 10, 2012 of heart failure. She was born October 5, 1936 to Fredrick and Kate (Davidson) Heavens in London, England. Mrs. Henning loved working as a motel housekeeper and meeting visitors from her native England. She was known for her love and compassion for helping people and her love for her animals. Mrs. Henning was predeceased by her husband Fred Henning; son Mark Henning; 5 brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son Richard Henning of Pompano; daughter Debra (Stephen) Blackburn of Davenport; brother Alec Heavens of Middlesex, England; sisters Margaret Dent of Middlesex, England and Barbara (Richard) Longstreth of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Sarah, Halyi, Michael and Christopher; and great grandchildren Cyaira and Michael. Visitation will be Saturday December 15th from 2-3PM with Funeral Service at 3PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City. Condolences may be sent to oakridgefuneralcare.com.
