Vera Marguerite DiMaggio
February 3rd, 1926 - November 18th, 2018
It is with great sadness that our mother Vera passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Vera was married to Salvatore DiMaggio (1922-2013), for 66 years, she leaves behind 6 children, Jaqueline Woods (Les), Carolyn DiMaggio, Vera Giamona (Sal), Donna Raymond (Randy), Salvatore D. DiMaggio, & Janet DiMaggio, Several grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews. Vera was born in Grand Isalnd Nebraska and had one sister, Verna Bruno, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Stockton CA. before moving to Monterey CA where she met and married Salvatore on May 7, 1947. Vera worked at Sancho Panza restaurant for a few years and then the Naval Postgraduate School. The family would like to thank Danielle DiMaggio (Granddaughter), Krista Scally, & Katrina Castellanos, for the wonderful care they gave to our Mother, and also thank Hospice of Monterey. Services will be held at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey CA. Date & Time are currently pending.
