Vesta Dell Wells

Vesta Dell Wells, age 94 passed away peacefully in her sleep at her sons home in Eureka on July 1, 2020. Born in Bartow, Florida on Jan. 3, 1926 to Willie Irene Tueton Henderson and Aaron Henderson. Preceded in death, her loving husband Daniel J. Wells Sr. and daughters, Jackie Wells and Delores Wells McCraney. Brothers Buck Henderson, Elwood Henderson and sister Dovah Henderson Keating. Vesta is survived by her son Daniel (DJ) and wife Paula Wells and a daughter Barbara Jo (Bobbie) Wells and husband Mike Williams, 7 grandchildren, Nathan McCraney, Joan McCraney, Daniel Wells (Ben), David Wells (Christine) Dixie Williams Ayers (James) Mathew Williams, Rebecca (Becky) Williams (Dana) 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Kenneth Henderson Brother and two sisters Bessie Henderson Irwin and Thelda Henderson Willoughby. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Fort McCoy Cemetery. Service will begin at 10:00am Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services on Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala will be handling the arrangements and Pastor David will officiate. Due to the Covid-19 virus, There WILL NOT be a dinner afterwards .Flowers or donations made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church or Wounded Warriors will be appreciated. Vesta loved flowers and could grow anything. She was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church for many years. She had many duties but the one she loved the most was the nursery; taking care of children of all ages. Vesta loved to travel. Going on a cruise and to Alaska in her 70’s and many places in between. Vesta Dell was a loving and caring person to all. Mama, we love and will miss you forever!
