Victor E. Symonds was born on March 24, 1931 in Kendall, NY. He grew up in Kendall, NY, and was also a long-time resident of Hilton, NY and Rochester, NY. Victor died on September 7, 2013, at age 82, in Nokomis, FL. Dad had been slowly fading and passed gently at home as he had wanted. In spite of having Muscular Dystrophy, he had a full and adventurous life; he was inspirational in his tenacity to overcome his handicaps. He worked at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY for 36 years. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn S. Dunn (Jim) residing in Nokomis, FL, and Marcia L. Symonds residing in Riverview, FL; son, Edward P. Symonds (Debbie) residing in Waterport, NY; grandchildren Michael Dunn (Miranda), Paul E. Dunn, Julia L. Chaplin (Nick), Geoffrey E. Symonds and Melissa D. Symonds; great-grandchildren Isabella C. Dunn and Jocelyn R. Dunn; sister Phyllis S. Whittier of Gastonia, NC; brothers Willard G. Symonds of Rochester, NY and Brian R. Symonds of Nokomis, FL; several nieces and nephews. Victor was preceded in death by his parents Geoffrey D. Symonds and Mary E. (Lacey) Symonds; a brother David R. Symonds and dear friend Lois Elmer. There will be a memorial service in Kendall, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: In memory of Victor E. Symonds, Muscular Dystrophy Association, P.O.
