Virgil L Stutts
November 5th, 1936 - February 21st, 2020
Obituary Virgil Lafayette Stutts passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 21st, 2020 in Longmont, Colorado at the age of 83. Virgil is survived by his sister, Wilma Walker of Russellville, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by: his father, W. Arnold Stutts and mother, Hazel Stutts, of Russellville, Arkansas. Virgil was born on November 5th, 1936 in London, Arkansas to W. Arnold and Hazel Stutts. Virgil joined the United States Air Force in 1954 and served until 1962. He has three children from a previous marriage - Kenny Stutts, Janet Millsap and Kim Herrera and has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he loved very much. Virgil worked for Longmont Foods as a semi truck driver from 1962 until he retired in 2002. He married Dellene Stutts (Newens) in 1981 and they had one child, Nathan Stutts. He was very close to his nephew, Carl Martin and a special mention to Niecy, Patty and Joey, whom he loved very much. Virgil loved to draw, go fishing and camping, and loved working on things with his hands. He enjoyed watching old western movies and tv shows, like the Rifleman and anything with John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart. He was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A service is scheduled for Saturday February 29th, 2020 at Ambassador Baptist Church in Longmont, CO, with a reception to follow. Pastor David McElreath will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Virgil�s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Ambassador Baptist Church at 2015 3rd Ave, Longmont, CO 80501.
