Virginia Antonia Huggins Dennis

Virginia Antonia Huggins Dennis, 94, widow of Carl Edward Dennis, resident of Elgin, SC, passed away on March 12, 2019 at Providence Hospital. Born December 1, 1924 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Britton Huggins and Anna Sue Wise Huggins. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who truly cherished her family. She was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church and was an avid gardener. She is survived by three daughters, Faye Antonia “Toni” Dailey of Columbia, Virginia Carol Prince and husband Ken of Lexington, Wendy Leigh Price and husband Marvin of Columbia; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 7 great great grand-children. Private funeral services were held at Greenlawn Memorial Park where she was laid to rest. Those wishing to make memorials may do so to the South Carolina Commission for the Blind, 1430 Confederate Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201 Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn assisted the Dennis family.
