Vivian L. Waters

Vivian Welch Waters was born December 24, 1937, and passed away peacefully in her home January 16, 2022. She was born in Lake City, FL to Nellie Missouri Nettles and Luther Aubrey Welch. Vivian was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and known by many as Sister Friendly. She truly had a servant's heart, always assisting others. She was humorous and loved sharing her quick wit. She held many different callings within her congregation and brought joy to everyone she served with. Even as her memory failed her, she never ceased to have a kind word for all. Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Waters, and her children Lex, Ramona Douberley (Don), and Troy (Janet). She is survived by her children Sheila Towns (Ron), Glen (Lori), Wendell, and David (Brandi), as well as 23 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Bailey. Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 21 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Haines City at 6 PM with a viewing beginning at 5 PM. She will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Providence, FL on January 22 at noon.
