Walker "Buddy" Alonzo Rabon
May 18th, 1936 - November 4th, 2016
Walker Alonzo "Buddy" Rabon, 80, of Columbia, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Providence Hospital in Columbia after a brief illness. He was born on May 18, 1936 in Columbia, SC to James W. Rabon and Lonnie Blackwell Rabon. Buddy was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Dentsville Masonic Lodge #398 and of the Jamil Shrine Temple. Buddy is survived by his nieces and nephews; cousins and numerous close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James M. Rabon and Ray O. Rabon. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation, P.O. Box 151, Drayton, SC 29333. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
