Walter "Scotty" Watson Scott, Jr.

Walter “Scotty” Watson Scott, Jr. 89, of Ft McCoy passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at his home. Scotty was born in Perry, Florida and was a longtime resident of this area. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years and during part of that time was stationed in South Korea. In 1982 he became an ordained minister at South Dade Christian Church in Miami. During his retirement years he spent many volunteer hours at the North Florida Christian Camp in Keystone Heights. He was also a charter member of Southwest Christian Church in Ocala. Survivors include his 4 children and 2 step children; siblings Sandra Kerr, William Scott, Wayne Scott, and was preceded in death by his parents Walter Watson Scott Sr., and Geraldine Session Scott; his siblings Catherine Barnett, Marlin Scott, and Charles Scott. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Southwest Christian Church, 9045 SW 60th Avenue, Ocala, Fl 34476. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: North Florida Christian Camp, 6779 Camp Road, Keystone Heights, Fl 32565. Online condolences may be sent at www.hiers-baxley.com.
