Warren E. Jeffery, 80 of Venice passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Venice Regional Medical Center. Warren was born February 4, 1926 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He moved to Venice 20 years ago from Battle Creek. He was a Firefighter with the Battle Creek and Springfield, Michigan fire departments. Warren retired as a captain with over 30 years of service with the two departments. He was a member of the Venice Church of the Nazarene and served with the United States Army division of Engineers during WWII. Survivors include, his wife June. Two sons, Warren Jeffery, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Toronto, Ontario and William Roger Jeffery and his wife Julie of Battle Creek, Michigan. One daughter, Brenda Ball and her husband Dr. Gary Ball of North Port. One sister, Dorothy Quick and one brother Robert Jeffery both of Michigan. Grandchildren, Michelle Callen, Gary Ball, II, Melissa Ball, Rebekah Ball, Tara Heskett, Katie Jeffery, Allison Jeffery and 3 great grandchildren. Warren was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia Helen in 1998 and one brother William. A visitation will be held for Mr. Jeffery on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 2-8 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, 703 Capital Avenue SW, Battle Creek, Mi. 49015 with a funeral the following day at 11:00 am at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan. Farley Funeral Home, Venice chapel in charge of local arrangements.
