Wendy Grace) Heaton McLean
April 5th, 1925 - August 19th, 2015
Age 90, of St. Paul Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on April 5, 1925 to Hugh and Mona Bailey Heaton. Wendy received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto in 1944. She worked as a Physical Therapist at the United Nations in New York City with Dr. Howard Rusk and in Great Britain, South Korea, Brazil, The Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Wisconsin. She married Malcolm McLean on May 20, 1956 in Pusan, South Korea. They had a wonderful marriage that lasted 58 years until his death in 2014. Later in life Wendy was a docent at the Minnesota Art Museum and a volunteer at the Paul Wellstone School. She is survived by her three sons, Ian (Margaret) Lincoln, NE, Hugh (Mary Elizabeth), Elmhurst, IL and Christopher (Nancy) Berkeley, CA; grandchildren, Katherine, Kevin, Derek, Eileen, Reed and Helen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter and her husband, Malcolm. Private Memorial. In lieu of gifts or flowers, memorials can be made to The McLean Scholarship Fund, Northland College, Ashland, WI or the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
